After an 18-month hiatus on foot of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was so excited to take to the stage again as part of the brilliant Dublin Quays Festival.
The Festival featured an exciting mix of emerging talent and established names performing live across August in four great venues along the banks of Dublin’s River Liffey.
My solo set from SIN É can be seen below on the Festival’s YouTube Channel.
I was so delighted to be part of it, and to be able to perform a set made up of my first single, and new songs, mostly written this year; some as recent as the month of the Festival.
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, I was invited to support the amazing StereoType in front of my first live audience since January 2020. The gig took place at The Grand Social on Friday the 10th of September, and you can see both performances on the venue’s Facebook page. (StereoType are here and I’m here.)
Both events were made possible by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media’s Live Performance Support Scheme.

Words can’t truly express what it means to be back performing again. And being able to sing and play new material written in lockdown, that only had a home in my home until now, adds immensely to the ‘new beginning’ feel of it all.

Here’s to the magic, immediacy and shared joy of the myriad live events to come …
