My 2015

Here is a selection of my work and achievements in 2015.

January – I am interviewed live on BBC Radio Tees and Ireland’s Today FM by invitation about the wonderful Coronation Street character that was Deirdre Barlow

January – I publish a selection of findings concerning spoilers from my Coronation Street audience research

February – I travel to Manchester for an exclusive Coronation Street Blog tour of the new Coronation Street set at Media City UK as well as a guided tour of Corrie locations

February – My poem You is the first to be published on my blog

March – I graduate from Dublin City University with an MA in Film and Television Studies, achieving first class honours

March – I publish my prose-poetry piece, The Art of St. Stephen’s Green, to my blog

March – I publish my poem, Time Waits, to my blog

April – I publish a selection of findings concerning Corrie’s viewer profile from my Coronation Street audience research

May – Two of my poems about St. Stephen’s Green and The Spire are chosen to feature in Poetry Ireland’s Dublin Poetry Map as part of Poetry Day Ireland

May – I publish my short story, Spring Forward, to my blog

July – I interview Tristan Gemmill, Sarah Harding and Shayne Ward at ITV in Manchester on behalf of the Coronation Street Blog

August – I travel to ITV in Manchester on behalf of the Coronation Street Blog for a preview of Coronation Street’s live episode. The day includes a presentation by producer Stuart Blackburn, and I interview Sally Dynevor, Joe Duttine, Jack P. Shepherd, Paula Lane, Sean Ward, Lucy Fallon, Michael Le Vell and Brooke Vincent

December – As a writer for the Coronation Street Blog, I am invited along with the team to a VIP tour of the old Coronation Street set before its closure on 31 December 2015
